Briare and it's Canal bridge
Twenty Kilometers from The Auberge des Templiers, Discover the town of Briare, in the Loiret and it's famous canal bridge allows you to cross the Loire. Historical monument since 1976, built at the end of the XIXe centuary, it is one of the longest metal canals in the world (622 meters).
Treat yourself to a visit in the town, to discover the floodgates and bridges or even the yacht harbour and a stop off at museum of the two marines where you will discover the history of inland navigation.
The Sancerre and Chablis vineyards

Trip to Gien
Less than 20 minutes from The Auberge des Templiers, the town of Gien, On the edge of the Loire, unveils it's beauty and it's quality of life, peaceful and pleasant : the town center and the streets filled with charm, the château, built in the XVIe century and now holds the international hunting museum.
Famous for the fine ceramic tiles, the town has Gien factory, still in business today. Where you can visit the factory aswell as the museum, to discover the trade secrets of these pieces of art.
With 450 km of bridle paths, the Loiret is the perfect place for the horse riders, the marked paths or the trails spread all over the Loiret. Beauce plains, the hillsides of Giennois, the Montargis forest, not to mention the many bridal paths of Orleans forest.
