Cellar & Bar

A roaring fire, burnished leather, the amber liquid of a post-prandial drink, a Davidoff cigar...
With one arm on the American bar which was the first to be imported into France, enjoy a moment of undiluted pleasure.

And your feeling of utter relaxation continues into the adjoining rooms with their chocolate tones.

You can hear the distant sound of the crackling fire, the lights are dimmed, there is the scent of leather and the softness of the carpets to enjoy - all is tranquil.

At any time of the day, you can enjoy one of the different areas of the hotel to enjoy a break with friends, with your family or a private meeting.

Top-class cellar

Cellar & Bar

The cellar at L‘Auberge des Templiers stocks more than 650 wine labels exclusively from France. The finest Burgundies, such as Raveneau, Leflaive, Coche-Dury, Rousseau, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, sit cheek by jowl with wines produced by talented young wine growers.
Bordeaux is represented by top names such as Petrus, Haut-Brion, Lafitte Rothschild and also by attractive, lesser-known red wines which are often more affordable.

Our region, the Loire valley, is largely represented by a variety of well-known labels such as Sancerre and Pouilly and others that are less well known such as Côteaux du Giennois and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil.

Finally, there is a fine selection from other prestigious wine-growing areas in France such as the Rhône, Alsace and the South West.

The sommelier’s selection

The Sommelier’s current selection:

Côteaux du Giennois Blanc cuvée Les Beaux Jours 2010 from the Emile Balland Estate

This Sauvignon, which is produced on a terroir on the banks of the river Loire, is known for its aromas of citrus and yellow fruit.
Emile Balland’s wine-making skills make this Coteaux du Giennois a full-bodied and opulent wine which nonetheless retains its fine mineral hints.
